Althea McNish: Colour is Mine is a landmark retrospective of one of the UK’s most innovative textile artists and the first designer of Caribbean descent to achieve international recognition. McNish (1924-2020) had a successful career designing fabrics for Liberty, Dior, Heal’s and Hull Traders, but is under-recognised in the design canon. Originally designed for William Morris Gallery, London, we updated our design with the Whitworth′s larger galleries allowing for a more generous approach covering the spatial and campaign graphics.
