For Liverpool Biennial 2021 we commissioned and worked with Mexican artist Dr. Lakra on a series of pen and ink drawings inspired by tattoos that formed the basis of the festivals identity and campaign. His images transform and translate the conceptual ideas and entry points of the Biennial, combining body parts and Liverpudlian references. These drawings have been used across the campaign on city-wide banners and signage, a guide book, reader and an online platform hosting digital commissions and events.
